FOTD Light rainy day makeup 24.06.2014

Today is a rainy but pretty day. I didn't want to wear anything to complicated on my face so that if it would rain on me it wouldn't be all smudged. Most of the products I used are something that I just got and I am trying out to see if they are good or not. Hopefully they are good but I will have to wait and see.

Í dag er regnlegur en samt fallegur. Ég vildi ekki vera með neitt of flókið á andlitinu á mér þannig ef að það mundi rigna á mig þá mundi það ekki vera allt klesst. Flestar af vörunum sem ég notðaði var ég að fá og ég er að prufa þær út til þess að sjá hvort að þær séu góðar eða ekki. Vondi eru þær góðar en ég verð bara að bíða og sjá.

Whats on my nails/ Hvað er á neglunum mínum (#2)

I have been wearing two of the nail polishes that I bought in London. The beautiful pastel colors fit with the summer mood right now and if I had a tan then the colors would make you look more tanner. On my pale skin the colors stand out in a different but good way.

I like painting my nails with one finger with a different color I feel gives it something extra, it's mostly on the ring finger or the index finger but sometimes the pinky finger.

Ég hef verið að nota tvö af naglalökkunum sem að ég keypti í London. Fallegu pastel litina passa við sumar fílinginn núna og ef ég hafði tan þá mundu litirnir láta þig meira tan. Á minni ljóstu húð standa litirnir út á öðruvísi en á flottan hátt. 

Mér líkar við að mála neglurnar með einum fingri með öðrum lit mér finnst það gefa eitthvað extra, það er oftast á hring fingri eða vísi fingri en stumdum á litla fingri.

Primark cute sock haul/ Primark sætu sokka kaupin mín (Haul)

 I bought some cute socks at Primark and I wanted to share this. It was hard not to buy all the socks there but I ended up with just these once.

Ég keypti nokkra sæta sokka í primark og langaði að deila þá. Það var erfitt að kaupa ekki alla sokkana þarna en ég endaði upp með bara þessa.

My Big London makeup haul/ Stóru London förðunar kaupin mín (haul)

When I went to London I did some shopping and most of it was makeup. There are so many brands that I don't have here and I've been dreaming of buying.

I went to London with my mom for 5 days and just got back yesterday. We enjoyed very much, spending our time there relaxing and shopping. We took some photos, mostly of us eating.

Ég fór til London með mömmu minni í 5 daga og kom til baka í gær. Við nutum okkur mjög vel, eyddum tímanum í að slakka á og að versla. Við tókum nokkrar myndum, flestar af okkur að borða.

Whats on my nails/ Hvað er á neglunum mínum (#1)

Today I am wearing a dark lilac nail polish on my nails and it goes well with my pale skin.I have had this colour for I think two years now and I wore this twice or so. It fits the weather here right now which is cloudy and grey sky.

Í dag er ég með dökkt lilac naglalakk á nöglunum mínum og það fer vel með ljósu húðinni minni. Ég hef átt þennan lit ég held í tvö ár núna og hef notað það tvisvar eða svo. Þær passa veðrinu akkurat núna sem að er skýjað og grár himinn.

A nice Friday/ Góður föstudagur

On Friday I finished my finals at school and to celebrate me and my friend bought some sushi and had a little white wine. The white wine was a gift from that friend when I turned 20 (the legal age of drinking here) so it was perfect to drink it that evening.

Á föstudaginn kláraði ég lokaprófinn og til þess að fagna keyptum ég og vinkona mín okkur sushi og fengum okkur smá hvítvín. Hvítvínið var gjöf frá þessar vinkonu þegar ég varð 20 þannig það var frábært að drekka það þetta kvöld.

New lipstick holder / Nýr varalita haldari

I bought this acrylic lipstick holder on ebay which holds 24 lipstick. It hold the lipsticks that don't fit in my other lipstick holder. I really like organizing my makeup and this is one of the things I have been wanting for that purpose.

Ég keypti þennan acrylic varalita haldara á ebay sem að heldur 24 varaliti. Þetta heldur varalitina sem passa ekki í hinna varalita haldarana mína. Mér finnst gaman að skipulegja málingardótið mitt og þetta er eitt af hlutunum sem ég hef langað í fyrir það.

I when to the Make Up Store last weekend on saturday and now I am finally showing what I got, the three thing were two eyeliners and a foundation.

A little Mac Haul /Iítil Mac Kaup

My sister in law was in the states and I asked her to for me a little bit of Mac because it's a lot cheaper over there. As the lovely person she is she when for me and got the four things I asked for. Two pigments, a brush and a concealer.

Mákona mín var í bandaríkjunum og ég spurði hana hvort að hún gæti keypt smá í Mac fyrir mig afþví að það er miklu ódýara þar. Eins og inndæl maneskja og hún er fór hún fyrir og keypti fjóru hlutina sem ég bað um. Tvö pigment, busta og hyljara.

March monthly favorites/ Mars mánaðars uppáhalds

Like always the month goes by so fast and each month I try something new or switch things up. Most of the things are new but some are things I had and picked up and used again. My makeup was mostly light and natural but there was a little color here and there.

Eins og alltaf var mánuðurinn fljótur að fara og hvern mánuð reyni ég að prufa eitthvað nýtt eða breyti til. Flestir af hlutunum eru nýir en sumir eru hlutir sem ég átti og tók upp og notaði aftur. Förðuninn mín var í mestafall létt og nátturuleg en það var smá litur hér og þar.

FOTD: glow-y makeup with colorful lips

I wore this look the other day and I think it came out pretty great. It's light and not much on the eyes with bright lips. It took no time putting it on and lasted all night with a little reapplying the lipstick. I think I will be doing my makeup like this more often. I feel like it makes the face look so fresh.

Benjabelle sunflower brush tree unboxing

 I got my brush tree from Benjabelle in the mail the other day. I got the Sunflower kind which you can put diffrent sizes of the brushes. It makes it easier for your brushes to dry. the service was so great and the shipping was so fast, it took like 10 days total. I have been liking it so far.

Thing I have used up, empty stuff

When you have more beauty products then you could possibly need you don't always finish the products you have. There is always something new to try and you might forget to use something and they sit in the drawer. So when you use something up you must like it or you wouldn't be going back to it for some reason.


The 5 thing I have here are thing that I used up and really love but the question is will I buy these again?

a Little ombre at home, my ''new'' hair

Yesterday I when out to buy hair dye for my mom and saw they had two kinds of ombre hair dye one for dark brown to light brown hair and one for dark blonde to light blonde. I stood there and though ,, should I try it out today?,,. Thats one thing about me, most of the time with my hair and what to do with it I do it in spur of the moment. I ones dyed my bangs red the same day I thought of it . I like taking little risks with my hair to see how it would look on me. The dye I ended up buying was the blonde one because I thought It would make more of a difference to my hair.

Sugarpill Cosmetics haul/unboxing

I ordered the 4 palettes of eyeshadows that Sugarpill  makes. I have heard very good this about this brand and their products. Most of their products are vegan and are not tested on animals. The packaging is well made, looks adorable and the palettes all have mirrors inside.

The package came quicker that I expected, the site said it may vary from 2-6 week for
 international shipping but I ordered mine on the 10th of March and was sent the day after and it got here to Iceland 9 days after I ordered it with me picking it up the day after that. Saying that I think the service was excellent and I will definitely order from them again.

My Go-to on the run/on the go products

When Im running late or don't have the time for doing my makeup I have to make it quick and easy for on the go. There have been times were I did my makeup in the car (when I not the driver) on the way somewhere or in the bathroom making me look more pleasant. These products are good for those moments and if I just need fix my makeup or change it from day to night.



1. Urban decay Naked flushed.  A blush, a bronzer and a highlighter all in place. The coloring is so beautiful and natural with a good color pay off.

 2. Rimmel Stay matte powder in Translucent. A light powder which takes the unwanted shine away.

A very natural make up, quick and easy

This shows you how a little make up does wonders without been too much and too noticeable. When I have done make up on young models who are like 13 years old and aren't suppose to be wearing a lot of make up and going for that natural, this is kind of what I do with a few changes depending on the person. Basically light eyes, light face makeup with a not too heavy foundation and a little gloss on the lips. 

                               

Makeup vs no make up

 I wanted to try these colors together with some glitter. I think it came out great with the eyeliner sharp and drawn on bottom lashes at the end.

My new small makeup kit, Zoeva Makeup tote bag

I ordered this bag with some other thing from love makeup uk on monday last week and I got it on friday last week, really fast getting here. The reason behind this buy is that I have wanted a smaller bag to take my make up with me when Im doing makeup, like when I know the person and want they or need. Im still figuring out how it is best to pack but it can take a lot of make up and it's easy to carry. It has three compartments, fake leather and easy to clean.
