something new to my hair ? (ramble post)

For sometime now I´ve been wanting to do something new to my hair. I really want to try having blond hair, never been fully blond just had some highlights. I always like doing something new with my hair, so far never beeb disappointed with anything that I´ve done to my hair. Plan is to go light blond slowly now to go full on just at the start. I really like the hair color of Emma Stone when she was blond (and if she still is) and I found a picture on google so you get the idea.

Real techniques brushes (haul)

Today I bought some of the Real techniques brushes by Samantha Chapman. I´ve wanted these for a long time but I could only get them online (and I´ve thought about it). They are finally here in stores in Iceland. I bought the eye starter set, the blush brush and the stippling brush. The brushes the really good and well made but I haven´t tested them out because I just washed them and they are drying right now but Im trying them out tomorrow. One of the most fun things to buy when it comes to make up for me is buying new brushes. 

 It can make a difference to have a good brush to apply your make up but your don´t have to use the brush in just one way, just find the way you want to use them and no rules apply :)

Long time, no posts (ramble post)

You might think Im done (or not )with this blog because I haven´t posted anything for so long, but that is not the case I simple wanted a little break to in joy the rest of my summer before I started school again. there are posts that I have not posted for the reason that I didn´t think they where good. Im going to post something each week from now on (it might be small or a big post) to keep this blog going, I really like posting things on this site. I made this blog for me and to share a little with others :).  this is just an update to say ,, hi this blog is still going. just keep checking to see if I posted something new. :)

SPFX make up for fun using no special products (ramble post?)

I wanted to share this photo that I took of me, after I kinda played with makeup when I was bored. I wanted to see if I could do a black eye (bruise) with just makeup that I had to do normal makeup, no spfx makeup thing like bruise power and so. I did sort of a black eye on both eyes and than I thought ,, Hey, why don´t I do a wound on the nose area between the eyes :),, and since I dont have any latex or any other thing like that, I used eyelash glue and a tissue to make the base for the wound. I use eye shadows to make the coloring and then used a lips and lipgloss for the dry blood affect :). Its messy but I like it there for Im sharing this photo.

The eye of the day (Face of the day)

Today I went for a simple eye look with a thick winged liner. I used the Naked basics palette for Urban decay. 

What I used 

I primed my eyes with The Nars smudge proof eyeshadow base, then I Put Venus eyeshadow all over the lid and up under the brows. Taking naked 2 eyeshadow and put it in the crease and blending it out for a softer effect, after that blending lightly faint eyeshadow in the outer crease and also lightly on the lower lid . I lined my under lid with Mac Blacktrack Fluidline and on the waterline It used Gosh white pensil eyeliner. For mascara I used Maybelline One by one in Brown (trying something new :) ). In have Mac browpencil in Lingering on my brows.

New hair cut

So last friday I got my hair cut short and dyed a dark chocolate color. It was for a girl my friend knows for a hairdresser final. It´s been a long time since I´ve had short hair, but hey I thought it was time for a change. I told the girl that she could any things she wanted to my hair (just not shave of all of my hair). I really like it and Im still getting use to it :).

Nails of the week (week 13)

I did lip shapes on my nail this week with a white background to make it stand more out. trying something new out with the step by step photo and seeing if that works better for this post :) .

So i´ve not been posting any blog post for almost a month. At first it was because I didn´t have time and there was a lot going on but for the past two week I just didn´t feel like doing anything, there was a lot of doing nothing and sleeping lot. A little depressed to be honest :(. 

Now Im getting back on my feet so to speak and Im working on a couple of posts and videos that are coming really soon :)

Archie's girls

On Thursday the Archie's girls collection came out where I live and on Friday I was at the mall with my mom and we when to the mac counter at Debenhams to see the collection. I bought two lipsticks from the collection, one Betty lipstick and one Veronica lipstick.

I got Oh,oh,oh from the betty line 

It's a lustre, a sheer brown plum. I like it, I feel it's a special color that you might not buy on a normal bases.  

and then I got Daddy's little girl from the Veronica line 

It's a satin, a midtone pink violet. This kind of color is a shade of pink that are my go to lipcolor, when I saw it I wanted it right a way in the way that if I wouldn't buy it I would regret it.

the makeup course over, I now a Makeup artist :)

On Friday I graduated from Mood makeup School  as an Makeup artist, we got our grades and our diplomas.I kind of can't believe it's over. Things are looking good and I feel really well, my stress has died down now from the past week's. This was a thing a put my all into, even though sometimes it wasn't easy. I went though this course thinking and knowing that this is was I what to do. I meet a lot of fun people in this time even though I prepared my self for not making any friends or being open and feel kind a part of something. Most of the group went out to dinner later that night, that what so much fun :). It's strange to not see them now almost everyday, like I said I can't believe it's over! :D


On Saturday I had a little family get together to celebrate. I got flowers from my friends and family.
 So beautiful.

It's like a new chapter has open in my life and I think Im reddy for what happens next. :D

Nails of the week (week 12)

For this week's nails I Used a purple crystal to make a simple nail look more fun and different

I didn't expect to be so busy but I took my driving test and I was full on in the course I've been taking. I did though start my running program, slow but steady. My room got sorted. I did not reach all of this month's goals but sometime you don't have as much time. I did use my time for something useful.

March 

This month I need to be realistic, I will not always have time to do the thing I what to do. So Im not going to set to many goal, to make sure I follow through with everything I set.

• Make a schedule for the blog so I don't get behind on things 
• Go to the gym 
• Cut out soda for the most part 
• Continue to use a running programme 
• Make a new video 
• Try something new 
• Do something fun 
• Go through my make up an organize it 
• Do some thing new with my hair

Week 7 and 8 of my coures (ramble post)

These were the last week's of the makeup course I have been taking for the past 8 weeks. I get my diploma on friday if past the test that I took, but if you fail on the first try you get to take it again, you to have gotten a 9 out of a 10 so you need to do everything perfect , the makeup, the hair and also pic the right clothing, also props if you wanted to have any. You get an hour for the test and have to take 2 test one beauty one (were we have to do a pointy eyeliner and red lips or at leaset a dark color) and a fashion one (were we are told a magazine, and do a make up look that we think would be on the cover, we got V magazine), go to photoshoot right after the model that we use got to the Jugde.

Week 7

On Monday We learned to do drag makeup. that kind of makeup take a lot of time and effort but really fun. We used a glue stick to glue down and hide the eyebrows and draw them higher up. there was a lot of glitter in this proses but I didn't have glitter on my eyes because I sensitive on my eye area(I had been sick the day be for and was recovering but didn't want to miss this). It's like your another person with that make up it's weird.

On Tuesday We had drag modelclass and we brought with us guys to be models. I brought my cousin's boyfriend. It took me an hour and 20 minutes. I was really funny, put on him a short curly wig. He had glitter on his eyes and I made his lip bigger.

On Wednesday We were doing a basic beauty look and the teacher would go around and look at what we were doing, If we were doing something wrong she would show us how to do it right and better. I learn a lot like how to stand right and hold the brush right. 

On Thursdays We were practicing the things we were having difficulty's with. For me it was eyeliner and red lips. I learned to both better. Getting things right for the tests and also if your going to do this for a job is in important.

Week 8

On Monday We had a modelclass to practice for the first test (the beauty one). Trying to be finished on time, figuring out what we are doing for the test and getting advice from the teachers. My friend who was going to be my model for the beauty test was sick that day so I asked one of my friends to sit in for her. 

On Tuesday We had another modelclass to practice for the second test (the fashion one).  Trying out the look I was going to use in the test. The friend who is going to be my model for the test was busy that night so I got another friend to sit on for her as well.

on Wednesday and Thursday were the tests. Im not got to talk about them. I kind of don't what to jinx it haha. Get to know if I fail and have to take them again on Monday.

Week 6 of my course (ramble post)

6 week have gone by so fast, the make up course has been so fun and now I only have 2 week left now but thing are doing to be more stressed now because I have to think more and more on what I am got to do on both of my end course projects, also I need to work more on my sketch&cut-out book for the course so there some hard work ahead :).

On Monday we did the 40s-50s makeup, pin up style it is always fun do that kind of makeup and it's always classic. That kind of look you see it a lot on the red carpet, maybe with a new twists but still the base of the makeup is there. Doing red lips and eyeliner is something I am learning to do better and better. practice makes perfect :).

On Tuesday it was the 60s and 70s the makeup from that time, the eyeliner crazy and sharp lines and edges, it was really interesting to that kind of makeup and a task that I think everyone had fun with doing there own thing using photo to go a little bit after with there own twist. I did my makeup because we are 13 in the course and so this happen to be me that was alone that time :).

On Wednesday it was 80s and 90s , the teacher showed us both version of makeup and hair. We all did crazy and color full and with teased hair and stuff, all the color of the rainbow almost. I just started with doing very pink sharp cheeks and on from there I used a very pink color both on the cheek and all the way to the brow bone then I used yellow, bright blue and a purple to blend the blue and the pink together. The yellow color and the pink one blended to a orange color. It what a really creative and fun.

On Thursday we brought a ''model'' with us and where doing one of the timeframe makeup we learn this past week. I decided to do the 50's style makeup. It as the parts that I need some practice in. It took an hour and 40 minutes , so that I need to work on as well. All in all it went great.

Monthly favorites (January 2013)

In the month of January I started a make up course. so I was not wearing much makeup on the week days. I also got my hair cut and got some things for my hair. It's been a busy but fun month for me, trying new thing and stuff. I hope you had a great month :).

This month 

What and Why

Moroccanoil. So I cut my hair this month, just cutting of split ends but my hair is still a little damaged. I have been putting this product in the ends of my hair after my showers and this has made my hair so shiny and healthy looking. It smells nice, not to strong or anything.

L'oreal True match foundation. I have had this for some time and I have always liked it but never grabbed for it. This month I started using it with my beauty blender when I was wearing make up. It has medium coverage but you can build it up. If you're looking for a good drugstore foundation, this is a pretty good one :).

Mac lipstick in Chatterbox.  This is a bright red-pink. I bought this lipstick in the beginning of the month and it has been my go-to lipstick. I like it both for a daytime look and also for nighttime. It is so creamy and not dry at all.

 OPI Nail polish in Princesses Rule. This is a sheer shimmery pink with a little white reflectant. I have been wearing this as a everyday nail polish and I think it goes with almost everything. I love this as a go-to nail polish and I would buy this again.

Beauty blender. This has become one my favorite make up tools. It helps make my foundation go on so smoothly. The sponge is more vibrant pink in person and when I got it I was surprised by the color and also by how bouncy it is. If you're looking for a easy way to put on your foundation this is a great tool for that.

Maybelline Eyestudio palette in Give me gold. This is what I have been grabbing for this month when I do my eyes, not always the same look but I have been doing lots of looks just with this palette and maybe with a black eyeliner. I have had this for a long time and hit pan on top of the shadows I like it that much :)

Nails of the week (week 11)

This week I did my nails with glitter and flower nail stickers. I have had these stickers for some time now without using them. so I decided to use them for this weeks nails. I think they came out great. This was an easy nail job, I have been so busy lately and have been trying to get the blog back on track. I am doing my best on that :)

What I used 

From the left: Max factor nail polish (31 Satsuma), Depend nail polish (Nr.279)

The stickers 

How I did it 

1. Start out with clean nails with nothing on them.

2. Put on a base coat to protect the nails from damage and let dry.

3. Put two coat of the orange polish on and then let dry.

4. Take the golden glitter polish and make a dot on where you want to put the flower (sticker) then dag it so it fades out and then let dry.

5. Put on the sticker in the middle of the glitter spot.

6. The last thing is to put on the top coat and let dry.

Week 5 of my course (ramble post)

On last Thursday we were doing mens and older women's make up so we brought with us men and older women. The teacher talked to us first and we took so note then the ''models'' came in and we did their makeup, first the guys then the lady's. I will not be posting photos of that. 

On Monday we had spfx class and it was so fun putting on fake blood and making scars. Your task was doing prostitute make up and making it look like ,,we'' were beaten up. It was different from doing well done makeup, doing kind everything we were being taught not to do.

On Tuesday we learn how to do tv (news) makeup which is basically beauty makeup just heavier, matte and dark lips. There are so many lights on you when you're on Tv so it washes of the color so much. 

On Wednesday we brought ''models'' with us to do tv make up and hair and try to do it all in an hour. I did it in an hour and a half so I need to improve my time :)

On Tuesday we learn 20's and 30's makeup and what women were doing at that time it was so fun. the teacher brought props with her so we got to dress up a little bit with some pearls, hair pieces and glittery old dresses. 

That was my week :) short but sweet :D

Nail of the week (week 10)

This week I did my nails by making the steps of the look as I went along, it was really fun doing it that way: I think the red I used is a limited edition color but it's not the color that matters the most, you can always use what you have you don't have to have this one :)


What I used 

 from the left: O.P.I.(love is a racket) Make up store(Olle) Bourjois nail polish (Blanc glamour)

Base&top coat

Sossi (Garlic strengthener)

How I did it

1. I started of with clean nails with nothing on them. 

2. Put on a base coat and let dry.

3. Two coats of the red polish and let dry.

4. Using a gold polish, paint half of the nail and put on another coat if needed and let dry. 

5. Make three white line on the gold from the middle and drag in a little downwards and let dry.

6. Put on a top coat and let dry.
